Designing business cards / Swing tags...

Wow what a fun little process this was and the possibilities were endless...

I used Canva which is a free graphic design platform, making it easy to create.

These business cards are pretty 😍 and draw the eye with the use of contrasting colours. I was thinking they might make great swing tags since they are good to refere back to with the business details at your fingertips. They are printed on both sides of the card making the design process easier and more attractive 😉 When designing these cards I wanted to convey a message in the images, representing my Brand and what it stands for. I hope I could depict the thought of life interconnecting in the ease of a breeze and a sense of peacefulness with Spring and Summer just around the corner 😘

Canva offers affordable printing options on quality paper, a money back guarantee if required and they plant a tree 🌲 for the environment upon purchase 💗👌

Let me know your thoughts.. what did you feel when you seen them.. please feel free to leave a comment..

Gift wrapping parcels 😊

So exciting to be sending parcels and making someone's day when they promptly receive something special from The Alice Clare Collection...

Your purchase is gift wrapped environmentally friendly with matching tissue paper and twine and carefully placed inside a large letter box for extra protection. The swing tag you see in the photo is made of thick quality paper and locally made...

🥂 Here's to supporting small local businesses 🎊

There's nothing like that exciting feeling of receiving a gift in the mail and my gift is to make someone smile with quality goods, gift wrapped and promptly sent to your door with postage on me 😘 if you are wanting to add a special note feel free to email me

Summer time mood board

Alice Clare summer time mood board '22

Alice Clare summer time mood board '22

For this summer I'd like to depict a feeling of freedom, love and peace perhaps a little flower power... I'd like to also incorporate some 1920's and 1950's inspired designs too.

I'm loving clover green right now, Lavender and royal blue..

I'm wanting easy to wear flowing summer wear..

Sheer fabrics and breathable cottons..

Working on sunsafe, comfort and fun, eye catching designs..

Stay tuned..

5 tiered ruffle skirt

5 tiered ruffle skirt in the making

5 tiered ruffle skirt in the making

This skirt is getting very heavy the more layers I add to it, even though the fabric is a light-weight cotton hope it wears ok. I'm a bit excited, I'm in love with these colours 😍 just deciding on placements of ruffles the blue will definitely be on the bottom I was thinking 🤔 keep in mind these ruffles will be way more gathered. They are shown here over front and back but I'll be using one for each side if that makes sense. What order do I want the colours to lay 🤔 any thoughts much appreciated 👍

Alice Clare stall at the Launceston show

The Alice Clare stall was at the Launceston show. It was a fantastic opportunity ☺️ will definitely be there next year too. I had the best 3 days alongside the beautiful Mona and her mystical crystal wands ❤️ Jane and her felt creations 💖 Joe and his comics 💣 boom and Maggie with her stunning embroidery you can find us at the Esk Market every Sunday from 9-2.

Thought I'd mention I'm offering face painting too 🥰 it was such a hit 🎯 I just loved that moment when the kids seen themselves in the mirror 🪞 🤩 there happiness just made my day, happy children=happy parents. It was a blessing to offer my services as an option for everyone to afford. Couldn't have picked a better position to set up right next to Mrs Bee 🐝 and the Jazz bugs which offered parents a chance to sit and relaxe or join in with their kids dancing to the catchy tunes. I had so much fun 🥳🎊 and met some really lovely people 💗💐

Stay tuned..

The Ugly Truth

The fast fashion Industry Is the leading cause of global plastic pollution. Running second in global mass pollution. Plastic has a devastating impact on humans, animals and our environment.

Plastics and human health the Minderoo Foundation.

Looking at statistics annually the world consumes 80 billion new pieces of clothing. That’s 400% more than 20 years ago.

80% of this apparel is made by young women age between 18-24, working long shifts in unsafe environments.

A US department of Labour report found evidence of forced child labour in the fashion industry in Argentina, Bangladesh, Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Turkey, Vietnam, and others.

Rapid production means that sales and profits supersede human welfare.

Check out: https://labs.theguardian.com/unicef-child-labour/

Child labour in the fashion supply chain..

500 000 tons of plastic microfibers enter our oceans... That’s equivalent of 50 billion plastic bottles.

85% of textiles go to landfill.

Second largest global water consumer.

Responsible for 10% of global carbon emissions... Contributing to climate change.

FAST FASHION is cheap but what’s really behind the price tag.. a costly, devastating impact on our living host Planet Earth and all life on it. Depleting non-renewable resources, emitting huge quantities of green house gases and using massive quantities of energy, chemicals and water..

“Look after what ya got.”

These are the wise words of my father. If we take care of what we already have we will find peace in the contentment of enjoying the journey while playing an active role as you will notice things last longer and you’ll have more money 🤑

I invite you to unplug from society norms and reconnect your roots to find yourself grounded in what’s underlying important to you.

We have the power 💪 be the change you want to see in the world 🌍💗

Re-fashion

1950's style shirt

1950's style shirt

Re-fashioning this 90's shirt into a 50's style was Soo much fun 😁🥰 I cut the sleeves off and reshaped the arm holes for a comfortable fit. I shortened the overall length and added darts to the back and pleats at the front I also bought in the sides and sewn a tie up waist to the hem.. check out the before, during and after pictures 💖✌️🫶
